My name is Connie Krist and I have been a part of Allentown for 24 years. I started as a First Grade Teacher and am now the Assistant Principal. This is my 41st year as an educator! I taught Special Education for 16 years and then taught First Grade for 15 years and this is my 10th year as an Assistant Principal! I am married and have 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I love my grandchildren! My husband and I get them EVERY Saturday afternoon/night. We love taking them on adventures and to church on Sunday.
Mr. Krist and I keep pretty busy. At our church, Mark is Chairman of the Facilities Committee, and I am the Sunday School Director. We also cook for our church (once a month Men’s Breakfast and periodic gatherings). Monthly we cook for 25+- men and women who live in two Transitional Homes. We serve Thanksgiving Dinner to the homeless. We ring the bell for Salvation Army every Christmas Holiday (outside the local Semmes Walmart the day after Thanksgiving).
As you can see, I am one busy person, but I LOVE Allentown and I LOVE what I do! I thank my lucky stars every day for the opportunity to work at Allentown. And being at the same school as my grandson is “icing on the cake”!!!
